Kanbai brewery, Miyagi prefecture
It’s for Marine Day long weekend in here Japan.
We thank for blessing ocean and think for the importance of the sea to Japan as a maritime nation.
I prepared seafood and decorated it with image of the sea.
The sea reminds me of summer, so I chose summer-like sake.
Sake aging mature in sea
I heard that sake aging mature in the sea will be even more delicious. The reason is that the seabed environment such as water temperature and darkness is suitable for storing sake. Sake that has been subjected to minute vibrations on the seabed naturally promotes aging and fermentation, making it more tasty than it is stored in a brewery on the ground.
I knew that Kanbai brewery is also making the sake aging mature on the seabed.

They have been serving this type of sake at the restaurant since June.
I really want to go to Sendai and try this sake.
